The Chairman of the National Union of Road Transport Workers (NURTW), Lagos State chapter, Alhaji Muspha Adekunle, has called on union members across the state to take part in the All Progressives Congress (APC) e-registration exercise, which commenced on Monday at designated centres in all wards.
In a statement addressed to NURTW members, Adekunle described the exercise as an opportunity for existing APC members to renew their registration and for others to join the party for the first time.
He expressed solidarity with President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and Lagos State Governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu, noting that their leadership aligns with his vision of a stronger and more prosperous Nigeria and Lagos State.
According to him, participation in the APC would enable NURTW members to support governance focused on development at both the federal and state levels.
Adekunle, however, acknowledged the right of individuals to support political parties of their choice, stressing that such freedom should be respected. He nonetheless encouraged members to consider joining the APC as a way of strengthening their communities and backing the current administration.
He urged NURTW members to visit their respective ward centres to complete the registration process, adding that collective participation would contribute to a more united and thriving Lagos State.
