Lagos Taskforce Intensifies Enforcement Against Street Disorder

The Lagos State Government has intensified enforcement operations across various parts of the metropolis to curb street disorder and related infractions.

The Commissioner for the Environment and Water Resources, Mr. Tokunbo Wahab, disclosed that operatives of the Lagos State Taskforce, in collaboration with the Ministry, carried out coordinated enforcement activities in several locations within the city.
According to Wahab, individuals engaging in street disorder, popularly referred to as Omotakus, were removed during the operations to restore order, enhance public safety, and protect public spaces.

He said the enforcement exercise aligns with the state government’s commitment to maintaining an orderly, safe, and liveable environment for residents, stressing that while enforcement remains firm,

it is carried out in accordance with the law and with a responsibility to safeguard lives and property across Lagos State.
