Daniel Bwala, spokesperson to President Bola Tinubu, has said Nigerians living in the country are better off than many of their counterparts who relocated abroad under the “japa” trend.
According to Bwala, many Nigerians who left the country about five years ago are now working in care homes, which he described as “modern day slavery.”
“Some of you in Nigeria who think you are suffering, you are better off than your colleagues that japa’d five years ago. Do you know majority of them where they are working? Care homes.
As far as I am concerned, it’s modern day slavery,” he said.
