The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) has distanced itself from the activities of a former staff member, Olakunle Alex Folarin, who was recently featured on a matchmaking programme hosted on Lege Miami’s social media platforms.
In a statement, the Commission disclosed that Folarin, formerly a driver at the Ibadan Zonal Directorate, was dismissed after being found guilty of certificate forgery.
The EFCC Chairman, Mr. Ola Olukoyede, has since ordered Folarin’s arrest over his continued possession of the Commission’s property, including an official identity card, which he failed to return upon dismissal.
The anti-graft agency cautioned members of the public not to associate Folarin’s post-dismissal activities with the EFCC, stressing that his involvement in the matchmaking show does not represent the institution.
