A father of one, Abdulkadir Shuaibu on Thursday protested Munawwara Hasan’s prayers to a Shari’a court sitting in Magajin Gari in Kaduna, seeking custody of their three-year-old daughter.
“My former wife chatted with random men while we were still married. That was the cause of our divorce in January.
“I do not trust her with my child because she lacks good character; she’s won’t be a positive influence to our daughter,” he said.
Earlier, the complainant’s counsel, Shuaibu Lawal prayed to the court to confirm the one pronouncement of divorce his client’s husband made.
He also prayed to the court to grant his client custody of their daughter and order Shuaibu to pay N25,000 monthly as feeding allowance for the child.
