Nigerian poet and spoken word artist, Maryam Bukar Hassan, delivered an impassioned plea for peace at the 80th United Nations General Assembly, drawing attention to the human cost of conflict and global instability.
“Our world bleeds before our eyes. Children in conflict zones, nations silenced by hunger and war, and it begs the question: Are we witnessing the collapse of conscience in real time?” Hassan said in her stirring address.
She urged world leaders to recommit to dialogue, justice, and collective action to stem the rising tide of violence and humanitarian crises across the globe.
