Akpabio to Nigerians: We Hear You, Expect Results, Not Excuses

Senate President Godswill Akpabio has assured Nigerians that the 10th Senate is committed to delivering tangible results rather than excuses.

Speaking during Tuesday’s plenary session, Akpabio said, “To the citizens of Nigeria, we say this: In the 10th Senate, we hear you. We know your expectations. You ask us not for excuses but for results, not for noise but for substance.”

The Senate President also emphasized the importance of responsible democratic participation, urging citizens to prioritize competence over popularity in elections.

“We must teach our people that democracy will only flourish when ballots are cast not for the loudest voices, but for the wisest heads, not for those who seek office as an ornament, but for those who see it as a burden of duty,” Akpabio stated.
