The Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) has issued revised guidelines for agent banking operations across the country, capping the total daily transactions per agent at ₦1.2 million.
The updated framework, unveiled on Monday, mandates all financial institutions to submit monthly reports on the activities of their Point-of-Sale (PoS) agents. The move is aimed at strengthening regulatory oversight, improving transparency, and enhancing service quality in the rapidly growing agent banking sector.
