The Chairman of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), Professor Joash Amupitan, on Monday, November 17, 2025, paid a working visit to the Commission’s Jos North Local Government Area office in Plateau State.
He was accompanied by the state Resident Electoral Commissioner (REC), Alhaji Mohammed Abubakar Sadiq.
On arrival, the INEC Chairman was received by the REC and the Electoral Officer (EO) for Jos North, who jointly briefed him on the ongoing operational activities within the LGA office.
The visit was part of Professor Amupitan’s routine engagements with field offices aimed at assessing preparedness, strengthening oversight, and ensuring that INEC’s grassroots facilities remain efficient, secure, and responsive to electoral needs.
He commended the staff for their commitment to duty and urged them to continue upholding professionalism and diligence in delivering the Commission’s mandate.
