The All Progressives Congress (APC) has formally welcomed Plateau State Governor, Caleb Mutfwang, following his decision to join the ruling party.
In a statement issued on behalf of the party’s National Working Committee, APC chieftain Nentawe Yilwatda described Governor Mutfwang’s defection as a bold and patriotic move motivated by a desire to better serve the people of Plateau State and Nigeria at large.
Yilwatda said the governor’s registration into the APC symbolises hope and a renewed commitment to a shared vision of inclusive development, peace and prosperity for Plateau State.
According to him, the party receives Governor Mutfwang with open arms and a strong sense of partnership, pledging to work closely with him to advance the interests of the state, strengthen the APC, and deliver tangible dividends of democracy to the people.
He assured the governor of the party’s collective resolve to support his leadership and collaborate effectively in pursuit of good governance.
Yilwatda concluded by welcoming the Plateau governor into the APC, describing his entry as a return “home” to the progressive family.
