The Federal Government has directed NAFDAC to halt all enforcement actions on the proposed ban of sachet and 200ml PET bottle alcoholic products.
The move follows concerns over economic disruptions, job losses, and security risks arising from premature implementation of the ban, pending the full rollout of the National Alcohol Policy.
Factories and warehouses are no longer to be sealed, as authorities coordinate inter-agency consultations to ensure a balanced approach that protects public health while maintaining economic stability.
