Reno Omokri Mourns as El-Rufai Loses Mother
Former presidential aide and social commentator, Reno Omokri, has expressed condolences to the family of former Nasir El-Rufai following the death of his mother, Hajiya Umma El-Rufai.
In a condolence message, Omokri described the passing of El-Rufai’s mother as a painful loss and called for empathy and solidarity with the bereaved family.
He noted that death is a reality every human being must face, stressing that moments of mourning should transcend differences and remind people of their shared humanity.
Omokri prayed for the repose of the deceased, asking Allah to forgive her sins and grant her Al-Jannah Firdaus. He also prayed for strength and comfort for the larger El-Rufai family as they grieve.
Quoting Qur’an 2:156, he said: “Inna lillahi wa inna ilayhi raji’un” — meaning, “Surely we belong to Allah and to Him shall we return.”
He further prayed for divine mercy upon those left behind to mourn the late matriarch.
