Youth leaders across Ekiti North Senatorial District have declared support for Otunba Oluwadare Owolabi’s bid for the All Progressives Congress (APC) senatorial ticket, urging party leaders to endorse him as the preferred candidate for the seat.
The endorsement was made at a gathering in Ikole-Ekiti, where youth representatives from across the district described Owolabi as a credible and capable aspirant with the vision and leadership qualities needed to represent Ekiti North at the National Assembly.
Speaking at the event, a member of the Ekiti North Youth Association, Mr. Olusola, said Owolabi remained the best choice for the district, citing his background in business, administration, and community service.
According to him, the aspirant’s record in promoting education, entrepreneurship, and agriculture has endeared him to many young people in the area.
Also speaking, a youth leader from Oye, Ms. Eze Adaobi, said Owolabi had demonstrated a clear understanding of the challenges facing young people and had shown readiness to address them through practical solutions.
She noted that his campaign promises, particularly in the areas of youth employment, education, and skill acquisition, had continued to resonate strongly with the younger population across the district.
A student leader in Ilejemeje, Adelola Williams, called on APC leaders to consider Owolabi’s credentials and capacity, insisting that he was the right fit to fly the party’s flag in the senatorial contest.
Williams added that many youths in the district were prepared to mobilise support and campaign actively for his emergence.
Owolabi, described by supporters as a seasoned administrator and banker, has pledged to pursue a people-centred representation if elected, with focus on economic empowerment, infrastructure development, and social welfare.
He assured supporters of his commitment to serving the district with integrity, dedication, and passion.
A party chieftain in Moba Local Government Area, Falowo Gbenga, described Owolabi as a unifying figure with strong grassroots appeal and the capacity to attract broad-based support across Ekiti North.
