Iyabo Obasanjo has suspended her aspiration to contest the Ogun State governorship election in 2027.
The daughter of former President Olusegun Obasanjo announced the decision in a statement issued on Monday.
Her withdrawal follows the party’s decision to adopt Senator Adeola Olamilekan as its preferred candidate for the forthcoming governorship race.
