The Central Council of Ibadan Indigenes (CCII) has announced that the recent dispute between Oyo State Governor, Seyi Makinde, and the Olubadan of Ibadanland, Oba Rashidi Ladoja, has been amicably resolved.
The council disclosed this in a statement issued on Sunday by its Publicity Secretary, Kola Olomide, amid concerns over reported tensions between the state government and the traditional institution.
Quoting the CCII President-General, Ajeniyi Ajewole, the statement noted that the disagreement was successfully addressed through internal dialogue and established traditional conflict-resolution mechanisms in Ibadanland.
According to the council, the resolution reflects the commitment of stakeholders to maintaining unity, peace, and mutual respect between political authorities and traditional leadership in the ancient city.
