Voters at the polling unit of Osun State Governor Ademola Adeleke in Ede North Local Government Area have lamented the slow pace of the Bimodal Voter Accreditation System (BVAS), which delayed the commencement of accreditation during Saturday’s governorship election.
Some voters who arrived at the polling unit as early as 7am said they were unable to cast their ballots until around 9am due to the malfunctioning and slow response of the BVAS machines.
The development caused frustration among voters, with some expressing concerns over the delay in the accreditation process.
Governor Adeleke had earlier arrived at his polling unit in Ede North to cast his ballot as voters turned out across the state to participate in the governorship election.
The election is being closely watched amid expectations of a peaceful, free and credible contest across Osun State.
