Nigeria Needs Competent Leadership, Strong Institutions to Achieve Prosperity – Peter Obi

Former Labour Party presidential candidate, Peter Obi, has called for competent and accountable leadership, strong institutions and mutually beneficial international partnerships to drive Nigeria’s economic growth and national development.

Obi made the call after participating in a roundtable discussion at the European Council on Foreign Relations (ECFR) office in Paris, France.

He said the dialogue brought together policymakers, diplomats, development experts, representatives of international organisations and members of the international media to discuss Nigeria’s future and its role in an increasingly interconnected world.

According to him, the discussions focused on development cooperation and strengthening bilateral partnerships to accelerate economic growth, improve citizens’ living standards, create productive opportunities and promote sustainable national development.
