The National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) has arrested a wanted 59-year-old alleged drug baron, in his hideout in Ojo area of Lagos for over N1.4billion worth of seized illicit drugs. The NDLEA Chairman, retired Brig.-Gen. Buba Marwa said this during a press briefing on Monday in Abuja. The Governorship Election Petition Tribunal for Edo has reserved judgment in the petition filed by the Peoples Democratic Party, (PDP) and it’s governorship candidate, Mr Asue Ighodalo challenging the Sept. 21, 2024 governorship election in the state. Justice Yetunde Rukayat Pinheiro of the Lagos State High Court, Ikeja, has fixed March 7 for the hearing of all pending applications in the lawsuit filed by former Speaker of the Lagos State House of Assembly, Mudashiru Obasa. Obasa dragged the Lagos State Government and the Assembly to court, challenging what he described as his unlawful removal from office.
